NewLife Board Certified Plastic Surgery Doctors
Dr. James Joaquino, is a noted and respected surgeon affiliated with the country’s top hospitals; also, trusted name in the cosmetic and plastic surgery profession. In the industry, he is known as a proponent of safe and right procedural practices done only by board-certified surgeons. He has been specializing on plastic surgery for 15 years. He has been a member of Philippine Board of Plastic Surgery for the last 8 years and also a member of the Oriental Society for Aesthetic Surgery. He started the practice of bringing plastic surgery services to the patient by making these available in malls. By branching the service out, the general public will have access to safe procedures performed by specialists. Joining him are equally well-known experts in the field.
Dr. Edwin Paul V. Magallona is a certified plastic surgeon with rich training and experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He completed 8 years of combined General Surgery and Plastics surgery in the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center / Consortium I. His compassion towards his patients and strong drive to perfecting his craft are strong points. During his training he has garnered numerous awards in research and just recently has passed and topped the written examination given by the Philippine Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Toto as he is called is one of the latest generation cosmetics surgeons of New Life Plastic Surgery Center.
Dr. del Rosario finished his training and 1997, and began his private practice in 1998, specializing in cosmetic surgery and reconstruction.
He attests the most rewarding part of his profession to being his capacity to contribute to patients’ well-being and happiness, through helping them obtain a greater sense of self-esteem through aesthetic improvement.
Giving them this feeling of increased confidence changes people’s lives in a very positive way, says Dr. del Rosario; his contribution to this kind of profound transformation is one of the best part parts of doing what he does.
Dr. Go has been in private practice for 18 years, beginning in 1992, specializing in the field of anesthesiology. He is currently an anesthesiologist at NewLife Aesthetic Center, and the regional medical officer for Asia Pacific under non-profit medical humanitarian organization Operation Smile.
He recalls deciding to get into the field he specializes in today due to the many challenges that it comes with. He explains that each patient’s unique reaction to medication leads to the lack of a reliable, standard procedure that ensures the patient’s complete safety.
This fact, however, also brings him the most rewarding part of his profession: seeing patient’s positive reaction to the given medication. This, he says, is a testament to their trust and dependence on the importance and effectiveness of anesthesia. And seeing them happy after surgery, claiming they never felt any pain, is Dr. Go’s greatest reward (and relief).
Dr. Rodelo S. Valera heads the anesthesia section of New Life Center. He’s one of the few anesthesiologists who are well-versed in a variety of plastic surgery procedures done on an outpatient basis. He sets the same standard of “gentle care” to his team of board-certified anesthesiologists.
Upon finishing his residency in 1990, Dr. Valera went on to start his private practice centering on anesthesiology, and has been in it for 19 years.
According to him, perhaps the most rewarding part of his chosen field is the sense of fulfillment obtained from a job well done, which leads to patients who were happy to have put themselves in his hands. His most rewarding experience comes from being an active volunteer for the non-profit medical humanitarian organization Operation Smile.
