thick varicose veins

i have really big varicose veins you cant miss on both my legs. .  my girl friends say its from standing too long and I pretty much agree with them since i work as a cashier. could sclerotherapy work on large varicose veins? all i want is for them to at least not bulge on my legs. is that possible? thanks.
