How to check if your plastic surgeon is board-certified
In the Philippines, you can visit the website of Philippine College of Surgeons (PCS, http://pcs.org.ph) and check if the name of your surgeon comes up or contact the organization by phone; +63(2)929-4047 or +63(2)929-4973 to 74. Alternately, you can also go to the web portal of the Philippine Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons (PAPRAS, http://www.papras.org) and look up your surgeon there. PAPRAs can also be phoned; +63(2)456-1238.
These two organizations have a database of genuine board-certified plastic surgeons and, including the Philippine Medical Association, are the only legitimate bodies that recognize these surgeons in the country.
