Firecracker accident messed up ear

My son who’s 11 got hit by a firecracker right on his left ear when his naughty friend tried to do a prank with him that didn’t go well.  The ear was patched two weeks ago and it hasn’t fully healed.  I’m pretty sure it won’t look the same when it finishes recovery.  Can aesthetic ear surgery help it at least look acceptable? How long should we wait before I could take him to an aesthetic doctor?
