Arm lift and loose skin

I know that after a surgery that specializes in removing fat, the skin where those fat were can become loose.  So what happens to that loose skin? Is there a different procedure that takes care of it or is it tightened somehow as part of the fat-draining procedure (such as liposuction or an arm lift)?
