LA Plastic Surgeons Win Double Recognition Two Years in a Row
Plastic surgeons Dr Daniel Yamini and Dr Steven Svehlak, who are co-owners of Sunset Cosmetic Surgery in Los Angeles, received a 2011 Patients’ Choice Award and were recognized as America’s Most Compassionate Doctors. Both physicians also received the same acknowledgements a year before.
Among 830,000 active physicians in the US, only 5% were bestowed the honor of Patients’ Choice in 2011; fewer were given the title America’s Most Compassionate Doctors (below 3% in 2010). To qualify for Patients’ Choice, doctors must be one of the highest reviewed physicians, written by hundreds and thousands of patients, along with other criteria — compiled annually by MDx Medical, Inc. Reviews are also becoming a useful reference to consumers in Los Angeles that helps in determining which plastic surgeon is reliable and which isn’t.

Dr Yamini and Dr Svehlak are double board-certified plastic surgeons, acknowledged by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. They are also members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Fellows of the American College of Surgeons. Both physicians offer a broad spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive services in their practice.
