Experts are looking to the Philippines’  cosmetic surgery trade to potentially deliver significant upsurge to the country’s already-growing medical tourism industry.

Online resources point to the significant difference between cosmetic surgery procedures here and the ones performed abroad, highlighting how foreigners receive significant savings from procedures done in the Philippines, without jeopardizing safety and quality.

An online article cites that liposuction that can cost about $2,000 per area when in the US costs only $800 in the Philippines, and about $500 for each following area.  In addition to this, additional costs including facility use and anesthesiologists’  fees in the Philippines are significantly lower compared to those in the US.

This is said to be the result of cheaper professional fees and over head costs of Philippine cosmetic surgeons and clinics.
